Five Star Donations

Shortly after Valentine's Day Five Star Consigning Connections contacted Pastor John McElwee of the Grace Assembly of God church and told him that we had some furnishings and accessories to donate. Pastor John said that he had two families in need, one of which was Angel Sanchez and his son. Angel came to visit with his son and decided to stay in America to be closer. Five Star donated a dining room set including a hutch, server, table and six chairs, and a sofa.

Mr. Sanchez was extremely touched by the generosity of our store as his eyes filled with tears when he saw what was being loaded onto the truck. Hugs and handshakes were exchanged as he wiped away his tears. Its a moment like this you cherish knowing that you were apart of helping some families in their time of need. Its great to be a part of that wonderful feeling here at Five Star Consigning Connections.
We will continue our crusade to help those in need as long as YOU also continue to help us in our efforts by donating your treasures you no longer desire. We are all in this together.
Thanks again for your extreme generosity which is never taken for granted but always appreciated.

The TEAM at Five Star Consigning Connections was able to provide some assistance to another family in Harford County, thanks to YOUR patronage and donations.
On January 21, Sheila Jacobs, Owner of Five Star Consigning Connections and Angela, the Manager of Village of Lakewood were able to provide assistance to a young couple,Chico and Shannon, pregnant with twins and due in April. We provided them with a table, six (6) chairs, a dining room hutch and several of your other donated items. Chico commented, " I am very appreciative of your generosity. I am truly blessed. Thank You."
Angela (lower right in photo) and another gentleman,Don(standing in truck), assisted in loading the truck along with Chico (lower left in photo). All three are pictured below expressing their sincere thanks with an entire truck load of your donated treasures.
It is with this type of dedication and generosity from everyone that the entire Five Star team can continue to help families in need of assistance as mentioned in our mission statement.
Thanks again for your loyal support in these tough economic times. It is much appreciated.
May God Bless

Thank You!!
Thursday, Jan 8th, we became aware of a situation in which a family was involved in an unfortunate abusive situation. Four young children and their mother needed the community's help as they relocated to a new environment with a plastic bag literally holding all of their possessions. Five Star Consigning Connections responded with the donation of furniture, food, dishes, bed linens and bed and delivered it on the same night. A gallon of milk and a gallon of orange juice was all that could be found in the house for the group to eat when we made our delivery.
Since our call for help to the community last week, your response has been tremendous. The family now has beds to sleep on, lamps to light up the house, a table to do homework on and eat dinner, furniture to sit on, toys to play with, clothes to wear and food to eat.
The community's outreach to help this family was heart warming. The mother and children were so appreciative of all the caring people that made the effort to ease their pain in providing them with the little things in life that we take for granted everyday. All of the items that were donated to the family were much needed, but we gave them something more important than the everyday material things...something they couldn't eat, something they couldn't sleep on, something they couldn't play with. We gave them something they could draw on the next time adversity came their way. We gave them hope, spirit and the will to carry on with their lives.
To the community and all the people that took part in our venture .....we thank you.
To the family in need...we thank you...for letting us hold a special place in your heart.
It has truly been a Five Star Connection.
The family is pretty well set on furnishing their home. Any future donations to the family can be dropped off at our store. They are still in need of food until the mother can secure a place of employment. Food store gift cards would be a tremendous help in our continuing effort to get this family on its feet.
